All venues provide a viewing area where you can witness your child’s development each week. We ask all parents and siblings to remain seated during the lessons. There is no eating or drinking poolside for hygiene reasons.
Photography is prohibited during the lessons at all venues. If you would like a picture of your child, you need to contact us before the lesson and we can tell the instructor that one photo will be permitted at the end of the lesson with just your child in the photo.
No. Parents do not get into the water. All of our instructors are in the water with the children for improved lesson quality, communication and safety. Once children get past their 50/100 metre awards instructors will teach from the poolside.
We would like to give you a specific time frame for this but each child’s development will be different. What we can guarantee is that Jump Into Swimming allows your child the greatest chance for quick development with our small classes.
Your child requires suitable swim wear which can be purchased at all good sports retailers. Some of our pools have a lower water temperature and your child may be more comfortable wearing a wetsuit. These can also be purchased at all good sports retailers. Goggles are recommended and we do sell these at poolside.
Jump Into Swimming Awards provide a pathway of seven awards, alongside these awards we also issue Rainbow Distance awards. The criteria for each award can be found on our Awards Page. We conduct assessments on week six and seven of the course and certificates are issued on the final lesson of the course.
Certificates are priced at £2.50 each. Each certificate also includes a badge. Certificates will not be issued unless payment is made at the booking desk, which is situated at poolside.
Jump Into Swimming Ltd will, where possible, rearrange your missed lesson as a gesture of goodwill. We do ask that you provide us with advanced notice so we have time to plan for the replacement lesson. Subject to availability.
On the last lesson of the course we conduct an enrolment week where customers can pay for their next lessons. Enrolment emails are sent out in week seven of the course. Each child will remain in the same time slot with the same instructor.
